“TikTok made me buy it”: London’s most chic summer trends.
For many 20-something girlies there’s a surge of officially entering their light femineity era, and TikTok is eating it the f*ck up. All black fits are no more — summer 2025 is about indulging in the beauty of delicate glam, from long flowy skirts, lace-trimmed Camis, and even some (I might say questionable) ballet flats for the carefree girlies. Yes, it’s the subtle chicness London girls fall in love with. And before you say it, I will. They are absolutely serving C*nt with it, in the most iconic way possible. Just to clarify, “serving c*nt” is another one of gen Z’s iconic phrases to express their compliments, which I am living for. Think — this summer, chic vibe is giving unbothered runway walk just to get a drink from your local off-licence.
- A fiery and unlikely blend of ballet core and street style, subtly shifting a light feminine urge, infused with maximalist rings, chunky ‘idgaf’ glasses, and topped off with a cropped ballerina wrap top to create a full effect. Alternatively, ballet flats paired with faded baggy jeans and a thrilly top. Either way, it’s serving.
- Butter yellow skirts, flowy ivory dresses with lace cuts and puff short sleeves? Yes. It’s giving an outfit from a vintage romance movie, right? We’re talking baby pastels, sheer baby pink accessories. Picnic on Primrose Hill gear on.
- Dewy style makeup with extra blush for that flushed look on your high cheekbones or perhaps a little extra on the tip of your nose for that glowing Sun-kissed effect, depending on how you use that liquid blush.
- notice a flood of ribbons on literally everything? on hair clips, bag charms, even belts. Ribbon core has taken charge this summer in the most delicately maximalist way possible. Not a fan of pink? There are leopard print bows about too, for the glamour divas don’t you worry.
- Pointy-toed kitten heels have stirred the pot, kicking out chunky platforms and are being paired with even the most unlikely of fits from cargos, mini heels, baggy jeans and even some rare sightings of straight leg joggers 👀 whatever it is those ruby heeled slippers are doing. it’s working girls.
These are some of many trends the girls are serving c*nt with its merging femineity with a touch of London grunge spotted on the tubes with the fresh sprinkle of adulting fever to go with it. It’s raiding with quiet luxury, empowered women and most importantly serving c*nt in the London high streets.
