Let’s break the ice with blue

Coming from its colour on its own, the icy light blue shade is worn in the eyes, lips, and nails, as seen in Chanel’s latest denim makeup collection, starring Lily-Rose Depp, and Rhode’s lip peptide treatment in Sugarberry scent, which went viral worldwide.
And we couldn’t be more drawn to the trend of circularity, taking various elements from what is happening around us and missing at the same time, making room for offline playtime within experimentation in makeup and even the way we dress accordingly, saying goodbye to the clean aspect of clean girl makeup and neutral outfits.
Are fashion and makeup crossovers pulling us into redefining the representation of becoming chic without the association with plainness?
Say Hello to Maximalism

There is not too much of everything, especially when it comes to fashion influencing the beauty of one’s look, and Chanel has embraced its total meaning and effect in its creative direction, including jean shades shown in patterns, enhanced by accessories and pearly eyeshadows and lip balm for a glamorous peek on the day.
A new way to wear denim as makeup pulled the denim’s universal aesthetic by recreating the timeless look, adding a pinch of coloured glam, and was carried and designed on the go.

A feeling of sweetness
Every colour has its taste, personality owning its own status, including blue, with the Rhode sugarberry lip peptide treatment pop-up event setting up its own limited branded bakery in partnership with A.P. bakery, Sydney, provided with Rhode’s lammington (iconic Australian dessert), alongside blueberry buttermilk waffles, coffee cups, pastry boxes wrapped in baby blue bringing a spring, sunlighted mood.
Even though the lip peptide treatment was in clear shade, the atmosphere and blueberry essence were noticeable in colouring the experience through authentic connections, which were encouraging enough and craveable for us in the UK to go out and enjoy the clear sky on the day.

Rhode and Chanel remind us that it is the environment and attitude we need to set up for our desired aesthetic, before making any impulse purchases for any upcoming makeup launch.
