However, this year hasn’t been an easy one for the pair ...

Bruv dates are officially back and from the looks of it, they’re not going anywhere.

Whether it’s a two-dot swap, a pint of Guinness at the local, or a Fontaines D.C. soundtrack in the background,

most of us have come across Mr and Mrs Bruv on our TikTok for You pages at least once.

Ailbhe , who is much greater known by the name, Mr Bruv, is a streamer from Brighton best known for playing League of Legends.

Alongside him is Faye Greenwood, a popular content creator who shares moments from their everyday life and relationship, fit checks and more.

Together, they built a loyal online following who became invested not just in their dates, but in their journey as a couple.

“However, this year hasn’t been an easy one for the pair.”

In July, after travelling to Paris which planned to just be for a day, Faye suffered a heart attack. She lives with a serious heart condition called Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), which affects how the heart functions. The news shocked their followers, many of whom had only known the couple through light-hearted, wholesome content.

Over the following months, TikTok became a place of updates and quiet support. Mr Bruv shared posts and slideshows documenting hospital visits, long days spent on wards, and the emotional strain of waiting. After three long months, Faye was finally released from hospital. In that time, the couple sold their flat and prepared for a major change in their lives.

Eventually, Faye was able to settle into their new apartment in Lewes. After undergoing two heart surgeries, she was finally home, and back with Mr Bruv.

For many viewers, watching their reunion felt deeply emotional, especially after seeing how uncertain the months before had been.

Then, on 26 December, the couple shared their happiest update yet.

Faye and Mr Bruv announced that they were engaged!
Marking the start of a hopeful new chapter after an incredibly difficult year.

Their story goes far beyond TikTok and viral dates. It’s a reminder of resilience, love and showing up for the people who matter, even when life takes an unexpected turn. And as bruv dates return to our feeds, they feel more meaningful than ever.
