Carrie Bradshaw, heroin of HBO’s Sex and the City was known for her daring outfit choices, a love of designer footwear, her beloved home of New York City and terrible relationship choices. The show ran from 1998 to 2004 over 6 seasons and then two movies followed.
As the new series is on the horizon, it has been announced that Carrie’s famous NYC apartment is up for grabs for a short stay on Air BnB! For SATC fans, this is massively exciting. Carrie’s one-bedroom Brownstone pad on the Upper East Side played a pivotal role in the show, showing devoted audiences how to work from home in style. Guests will have access to Carrie’s vast wardrobe too, which will feature some of her best known ensembles including THAT tutu dress and a number of Sarah-Jessica Parker’s own brand shoes. Brunching locally in Chelsea with Cosmos on tap, you can have the chance to live as the ultimate fashionista for the weekend! #livingthedream
If eclectic and vintage shopping is up your street, why not check out the open-air Chelsea flea market whilst you’re in the neighbourhood. Andy Warhol was said to visit the iconic market to gather ideas, so why not take a rummage through nic nacs and grab yourself some treasure.
After this, there’s “Little Island” NYC’s very own floating park on the Hudson River. Home to a vast array of vegetation, a playground, mini stage and even a full sized amphitheatre, Little Island offers visitors a unique experience and reminds them of the dynamic evolution of NYC’s waterfront.
The much anticipated 7th Season of Sex and the City, known as “And just like that” is expected to drop this December. We will check back in on Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte, now in their mid fifties. There will be new characters, absent characters and a new stylist… Watch this space!
