Are you excited yet?

In the lead up to the release of Wicked For Good on 21st November, to build up the excitement again achieved after the release of Wicked Part 1 in 2024, the advertisement and collaborations have upgraded massively. There is not a chance you could avoid Wicked, whether you are hearing about it on the radio, tv or social media, or you’re seeing the advertisements in person. It is unavoidable.

Not only has Wicked got a lot of attention from the fact it is a long running musical show from Broadway and the West End, but the movie adaptation has incredible star power from the outstanding cast like Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Johnathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum. Each celebrity involved have their own fanbases behind them already which instantly brings a huge audience and interest to the Wicked movie.

Even though the Wicked Part 1 was massively successful, the advertisement for Wicked For Good has seriously stepped up this year. Even before Wicked For Good is released, you can get a taste of Wicked as they arranged an invitation only, televised concert of Wicked songs available on Sky called Wicked: One Wonderful Night. Ariana and Cynthia sing songs lives from Wicked Part 1 as well as songs from Wicked For Good which fans have not heard Ariana and Cynthia sing yet before the film is released.

Ariana Grande has released her own Glinda and Elphaba inspired perfumes to her fragrance line. As well as her makeup line REM Beauty, she has created an entire Wicked collection available for fans to buy.

Le Creuset have a collaboration with Wicked where they have released Glinda and Elphaba Embossed Cast Iron Round Casserole dishes pricing at £369 as they are limited edition pieces.

As Ariana Grande is the Swarovski Global Brand Ambassador, along with the release of the movie, Swarovski have created crystallised figurines of Elphaba and Glinda created in the lead up to the movie release.

The Glinda Upland figure retails at £630, with her Wicked Wand Ornament costing £149. The Elphaba Thropp figure is priced at £530.

Even across supermarkets, like Asda and Marks and Spencers you will find Wicked merchandise like pyjamas, jumpers and hoodies. Even Primark has a Wicked range that includes pyjamas, press on nails, hair bands and scrunchies, even a water bottle bedazzled in rhinostones with the Wicked logo on the front.

This choice of marketing for the film has been really successful and well thought out as Wicked genuinely is everywhere you look and always being spoken about.
