9 Ways To Spice Up Your Room

  1. Indoor Sunset

Create a beautiful ambience in your room with sunset lamps. They are the newest trend in home lighting and are slowly replacing the beloved LED strip light. Sunset lamps are the perfect addition to your room if you want to add some colour and really set the mood.

2. Plants, Plants, Plants

Plants..lots and lots of plants, whether real or fake, flowers or succulents, plants are a great choice of decor for your room. It creates a space of relaxation and gives off a good and clean vibe in any room.

3. Light a Candle

Candles are great pieces to add to your room to really get the calm and relaxing mood going. Candles in a variety of designs and colours, mostly pastel, have become very popular this year. Buy some interesting and great smelling candles and light them in the evening to wind down.

4. Make it NEON

Neon lights have been the craze and will always be the craze. Get as many as you want, you can go subtle with just a couple, or transform your room into downtown Tokyo – the world (or your room at least) is your oyster!

5. Photos… Lots of them

Photo collage walls are a must, especially for uni students that want to decorate their boring plain pinboards (Yes, I’m talking to you). It doesn’t necessarily need to be past memories but can be aesthetic coloured photos you can get off of Pinterest or buy on Amazon. This is totally a great idea to spice up your room.

Aesthetic, geometric mirrors are really in right now and rightly deserved too. This is a phenomenal idea to spice up your room AND your mirror selfies.

Reed diffusers are a perfect asset to your room to create a calming atmosphere. They also immediately make your room/ space appear much more sleek and sophisticated, at usually a low cost, and last between 3 to 4 months.

8. Vases and More Vases

Collections of vases have become a very popular decor choice this year. The more the merrier not only in the amount but in the colour and size variety. Go out and buy lots of ceramic or glass pieces! It will make your room much more beautiful and welcoming.

9. Going Vintage

Vintage items as decor is an excellent idea for the old souls. Using old Vinyls, rotary phones, radios and much more to decorate your room is such a lovely choice. If you’re thinking about it, stop thinking and DO IT. You’ll thank me later.
