6 spring summer 2021 fashion trends you NEED to know

Whether we are in or out of lockdown, get ready to see these trends everywhere. From the runway to your wardrobe, we are here to show you where you can buy and style these beaut trends on a budget.

SHEER

This season everyone is going crazy for all things sheer and here at Carbon we are loving it too. Showing a little bit of skin never hurt nobody and we are absolutely here for it. Sexy but classy this trend is here to stay throughout summer, perfect for when you can finally go out out.

This trend is perfect for when you are wanting to dress up. If you are wanting to feel super sexy, pair a sheer dress or coord with a pair of heels and you’re good to go. However there are ways to style it if you aren’t so confident with too much skin on display, for example chucking a blazer on over the top. You could also wear a sheer top with a bralette underneath and pair it with a pair of denim jeans. Dress this look up by adding a pair of heels and a mini bag and get ready to feel like the confident queen you are.

BRIGHT PINK

Bright pink is already taking over our Instagram feeds and expect it to stay for a while. Channel your inner Elle Woods and give off the ultimate girly girl vibes as this trend is going to take over your wardrobe this spring/summer.

Sarah Ashcroft is loving this trend at the moment as she showcased her favourite pink looks on her YouTube channel. For a pop of colour style with blue denim jeans or shorts and your fave pair of trainers, or you could dress up by wearing a full pink fit like a blazer dress or coord, styled with a pair of strappy heels, perfect for drinks in a cocktail bar with the girls.

GLITTER

Balmain’s SS21 fashion show oozed glamour and gave us all the boujee vibes. Get ready for June 21st by treating yourself to an outfit perfect for a night out on the town. The time will finally come where you can wear sequins and glitter without feeling extra on a Zoom meeting.

Shop the trend:

Everyone has been missing nights out at clubs and cocktail bars, so what better way to make an entrance on June the 21st than in a full glitter fit. We are in love with this low back halter neck glitter dress from Meshki (pictured below on the left), however if you want something more subtle, pair a glitter top with jeans or leather trousers. The glitter trend doesn’t only have to be saved for the clubs, it’s time to purchase glitter swimwear also that will leave you shining in the sun!

CUT-OUTS

All of the influencers have already jumped on this trend and now it’s time for you to as well. The cut-out trend is the perfect way to add a bit of spice to a modest look by subtly showing a bit of skin in a flattering way.

Shop the trend:

Whether its a cut-out dress or cut-out top, there’s no denying this trend is to die for. Pair a cut-out top with some leather trousers and heels for a sexy, seductive vibe or pair a cut-out midi dress with some sunnies and trainers for a beaut everyday look perfect for summer.

HOT PANTS

Hot pants have made a comeback and they’re hotter than ever. Influencers are loving the knitted loungewear styles but whether you dress them up or down, they are an essential for your spring/summer closet.

Shop the trend:

Take inspiration from Christian Dior’s runway looks and style your hot pants with a coordinating top like the gorgeous Amber Phillips and Jess Hunt have done below, or style it up with a pair of heels and an oversized blazer for a comfy but cute night out look.

GREEN

Green is dominating spring fashion and we are here for it. Pastels are always a hit at this time of year, however after seasons of neon hues, muted green is a welcome sight. Sage. Mint. Aquamarine. Khaki. Emerald. Whatever the shade; the green trend feels as fresh as ever and it is perfect for your spring/summer wardrobe.

Shop the trend:

Pastel green is such a vibe at the moment and it is so easy to style! Dress it up or dress it down, green is perfect for any occasion and suits everyone. Pair with white or other neutral tones for a minimalistic spring look.
