Sadly this year due to the Covid-19 outbreak many festivals have been cancelled, we are hoping this pandemic slows down so that we can still have a summer.
Even though you might not be able to experience the feeling of walking into a festival and hearing the bass of the music you can still show off your festival fashion by adapting your festival style for casual everyday looks.
Tie-dye is becoming more and more popular, a cute tie-dye co-ord would be perfect for a funky festival look. For an everyday look try wearing the top from the set with denim shorts or jeans and white trainers. For a warmer outfit people have been dying their hoodies and joggers, maybe give this a go if you are bored in isolation and fancy a challenge. There are loads of ‘how-to’ videos online and even on Tik Tok. These tie-dye sets can be found online at the shop Kala Kouture, have a look at their Instagram @kalakouture.
Thrifted clothing items are huge in festival fashion, people take old sweatshirts and joggers and turn them into sets of shorts, bralettes, extra cropped tops and even scrunchies. These sets are usually also made from elasticated fabrics in all crazy patterns. You can mix and match these separate parts and wear them individually with simpler colour blocked clothing for a more relaxed everyday look. You could even try to upcycle your old joggers and turn them into a cute summer outfit. A small brand that does this is Funky Gurls, go check out their Instagram @funkygurlsclothing and maybe place yourself an order for this summer.
Swimwear has been worn at festivals loads in the past and it could have been your plan for this summer, why not wear a 2 piece with shorts and a mesh t-shirt to keep covered up but still show off your amazing patterned bikini. Ebc Swim is an amazing made-to-order brand that creates unique styles of swimwear. They produce waterproof clothing that looks incredible and doesn’t even have to be worn in a pool. I love their gypsy top, it would look perfect with shorts and sandals in summer. Their patterned mesh tops and dresses go over their bikinis to add layers to the outfit and look incredible. Their Instagram is @ebcswim, have a look at the wide range of styles they create and find one that you love for this summer.
