Lockdown Lifting: Your Guide to Influencer Life with Aimee

Lockdown has left us all a bit bummed out, and it’s defiantly left the most of us looking for the best ways to start our favourite passions. When it comes to the rising profession of Influencing, we have to keep our eye on the rising platform of Instagram, and exactly what it’s really like to be an influencer. Not only that, but what it’s really like to rise and become an influencer in real time. We spoke to our girl Aimee Sladden, and got her outlook on life as an influencer… you heart it here first!

Incase you’ve been living under a rock, 20 year old Aimee is the new thing. Working with brands such as Pretty Little Thing, Shien and I Saw It First – she is always on hand for your best affordable fashion tips. She always finds the best bits so that you don’t have to, so if you don’t already make sure you give her a follow (you’ll regret it if you don’t).

Whilst chatting with Aimee she spilled all the tea. “Living life on Instagram is so rewarding when I consider all the amazing opportunities I’m given on a daily basis” she says, “although just like any job it is tricky when you have your down days. If you’re having a bad mental health day the last thing you want to do is put on an outfit and get dressed up.”. I think what we all forget sometimes is that our fave influencer’s are human too with real feelings and emotions. It’s important for us all as followers to never jump the gun, and just assume. Our girl Aimee is just like you and just like us, but of course we can tell that from her super down to earth page. But to her, or any other influencer let’s never forget their real feelings. “I definitely take the good with the bad, and never let the bad days get to you!”

“I think my favourite thing about my job would be all the amazing people I have made connections with. I have built some amazing bonds with brands and other influencers from places all over the U.K., and even further with people from different countries. It’s all lead on to all the opportunities that being an influencer has given me.”

Aimee goes on to explain her super exciting life online; “I’m just going with the flow at the moment [for her instagram], I definitely wan’t to grow my following and continue working with all the amazing brands that I have built bonds with.” Yaaas girl, aim high! We love an ambitious queen. Aiming high really is the key, with ambition it’s easier to reach your goals. As well as being dedicated like Aimee, hard work results in amazing experiences! Having influencer’s online to look up to really does make it a blessing to have social media. So thanks Aimee!

Talking of aiming high – “There are a few brands that I haven’t worked with yet that I’m definitely hoping to connect with by the end of 2021 like Fashion Nova and Boohoo.” If there’s one thing you should take from Aimee, it needs to be her passion. You do you girl, just like Aimee. She continues, “I enjoy doing Instagram so much and it makes me happy. So every goal is just a bonus for me!”

“I’d like to add swell, that anything is possible. If you wan’t to start up Instagram, do it! Don’t let anything or anyone hold you back from what makes you happy! You have one life and no one wants to look back and have regrets off things they wished they had done!”
