Supa Dupa Legendary:
‘Beep! Beep! Who’s got the keys to the Jeep?’
Missy Elliott rocked a garbage bag suit, and fully executed it to the icon Gods. Elliott told Elle Magazine that her outfit was “a way to mask my shyness behind all the chaos of the look.” Missy also stated “It was bold and different. I’ve always seen myself as an innovator and a creative unlike any other.”
Well Missy, we are so happy you exhibited this bad-ass look; giving the Hip-Hop game the Michelin woman we never knew we needed.
Pretty N Pink:
We love it when a colour palette comes together.
The year is 2003, it’s the Grammy’s and Missy Elliott wins a Grammy award and execution of an iconic look. A pink velour Adidas sweat suit paired with a bandanna and white sneakers.
So, Missy we just wanna talk… and maybe borrow those sneakers?
We will be your caddy, Missy!
Another Adidas moment yet just as bad with the plaid patterns and green schemes going are *Italian kisses* un-beatable. This is exactly what we want to be seen in for the MTV VMAS and the golf course.
We love a multi-use queen.
Double the Denim, Double the Diamonds:
Is it a plane or a bird? Nope, it’s just Missy Elliott’s diamond Dior.
2006 Grammys and Missy Elliot stands there with her shiny Grammy and bedazzled light-wash peacoat and wide-leg jeans. If that’s not iconic enough, a sparkling newsboy cap completed the look.
The French label and Elliot embraced one another, and we couldn’t be happier.
Get Ur Bejewlled On
A bop and look like this one? Yes please.
That’s right, if it’s not a tracksuit its denim covered in rhinestones and we are totally okay with that. A denim vest and jeans are presented to us in a visual so perfect, that you could say the video is peak mid-aughts.
BRB, buying rhinestones to stick all over myself.
Shark Tale Serve
What’s better than Christian Dior? Wearing an all-over look by Christian Dior, that’s right, to the Shark Tale premiere.
A look featuring a bag, hat, jacket and shoes all coated in the classic logo of the French brand, is just for a casual movie viewing of the 2004 Shark Tale. We are sorry but, you can’t anymore iconic than this.
Missy Elliot watched Shark Tale, so we watched Shark Tale.
This Is It, Folks.
Another Adidas tracksuit? We are NOT complaining.
Comfort is obviously key for Missy Elliott, and we’ve never seen a more stunning co-ord. The pink and burgundy tracksuit with a matching Kangol hat was debuted in the “Gossip Folks’ music video and we are here for this colour combo and for a come-back of these tracksuits.
