Platform heels: The Chunkier The Better

By Emma Foakes

Platform heels are set to make a comeback in the coming months. They have been spotted on Olivia Rodrigo at the White House paired with a patterned co-ord that looks like it came straight off the set of clueless.

Trainers and comfier options were the go-to after the eventful year we’ve all had, but now dressier shoes (specifically brightly coloured heels) are back to make everyone feel their best.

Not only have women unearthed their heels from their pre-lockdown wardrobes, but men have also jumped on the craze. Heels have been worn by Lil Nas X and by Billy Porter on different occasions.

Since heels are becoming popular again, a list has been compiled of the best heels to make you feel your best:

  1. Zara Strappy Platform Sandals, £29.99

These heels are perfect for partywear as the bright colours can help to lift your spirits. At a price of just £29.99, why aren’t these already in your basket?

2. Lamoda Dancing Queen Chunky Platform Heels, £55

As stated in the title of the heels, these super cute platforms will make you have your Mamma Mia Dancing Queen moment!

3. Nodaleto Platform Shoes, £615

Nodaleto is a new brand that has created some divine heels. Although on the pricer side, these heels are the best of both worlds as they could be worn out for a party with a dress, or paired with a skirt and tights for a more casual look.

4. Bottega Veneta Leather Wedge Mules, £750

These heels may not be everyone’s taste, however they can spice up an outfit with their bright colouring and unique shape.

5. ASOS Design Pippin Platform Heels, £32

These heels are super cute as they can be styled different ways. The colouring is also perfect for the autumn months.

6. Versace Medusa Aevitas Platform Pumps, £1,080

These satin heels are absolutely to die for. They come in several different colours and have been seen on several different celebrities. They are definitely more expensive than some of the previous gorgeous heels, but would the list really be complete without them?
