Stella McCartney has recently formed her new collection inspired by her father’s band, The Beatles. This has been launched ahead of the new Disney+ documentary, directed by Peter Jackson, called ‘The Beatles: Get Back’. This selection is a part of Stella McCartney’s SS22 full collection showcasing some of The Beatles’ iconic covers and typography on the garments.
A deeper look into the collection highlights some key aspects and aesthetics of the clothes. This includes a regenerated nylon bomber inspired by Paul McCartney’s own wardrobe, a patchwork cardigan coat, and knit tracksuits, all featuring paraphernalia linked to the iconic band. McCartney collaborated with The Fool collective for this collection, which is shown in the bright psychedelic patterns.
The documentary making its way onto Disney+ is a three part film focusing on the creation of the album ‘Let It Be’, the band’s final album. It is supposed to include 60 hours worth of unseen footage and recordings.
Each piece of clothing is unisex and available to buy via Net-a-Porter and Stella McCartney stores. The garments range from around $300 to $3000.
What do you think of the new collection?
