Taking a look into the Ellesse x Smiley SS20 campaign

World famous Italian street sports brand Ellesse has released its collaboration with brand for a new counter-culture collection which will be a hit for this summer. The capsule collection that’s been released offers staple styles for men and women that fuse Ellesse’s sportswear designs with Smiley’s counter-culture heritage. The collection perfectly Celebrates each brand’s history within music sub-cultures and their influence on global party scenes to create a collection that utilizes traditional bold colourways synonymous with decades of youth culture bringing it to todays world. The collection demonstrates the colourful flair and the track-ready tailoring of ellesse heritage, re-energized and infused with innovative fabrics, colours, and silhouettes that mirror the vibrant spirit and pop culture of Smiley. This is a collaboration that fuses the positive ethos, flair, and vibrancy of two iconic brands. A range of fabrics such as reflective 4M, PVC and mesh are introduced throughout the collection. Whilst a colour palette of hot pink, sunshine yellow, orange, white and black are highlighted accents across tracksuits, boob tubes and cycling shorts.

The collection comes just in time for the summer and the pieces released by the brands will be perfect for the next festival season. The collection consists and features 21 items for women and a separate smaller collection for the men. Hero pieces include a transparent poncho which will be key item for the festivals if you still want to carry style through the miserable weather whilst still carrying your part energy, iridescent shell suit and a range of co-ords that run through both the men’s and women’s collection. The collection also contains a range of accessories including bum bags, caps, and bucket hats that are also available. The items are completed with special one off logo which uses ellesse’s ‘semi pala’ shape with the original Smiley face – the brand champion of global counter culture.
