THE MUSTHAVES OF MEN’S FOOTWEAR 2021

Footwear is an essential part of our lives, the creativity and expression we can release from wearing certain styles is incomparable. You can tell a lot about a person from their shoe style, it is one of the first things I notice about a person’s fashion sense. We are now three months into 2021 and there has been a lot of discussion about the most popular men’s footwear that has dropped this year.

Although everyone is stuck inside and has no real reason to keep purchasing more and more pairs of shoes, it seems a new collection or style is released every single week and people go mad for it. Online shopping is definitely something that has thrived in the last year, I do not know anyone that has not been obsessed with buying clothes online! Whether this be a new pair of running shoes, that are actually used for running, or some more causal styles that you will impress your mates with on the 21st of June. Remember, its never too early to plan your outfits…

White Nike Air Force 1

First up is the absolutely iconic shoe that is Air Force 1, priced at £84.99 from Foot Locker, this classic shoe can be worn many different ways. Because of the versatility of this style, it can be worn when going for both smart and causal looks. Originally this shoe was created for sport and activewear, basketball to be precise, but since the uprising in streetstyle and just the popularity for this shoe you can wear them for pretty much anything. This shoe goes with most outfits and is definitely a must have for summer 2021!

As well as keeping it casual at the pubs and clubs when they reopen, more formal events will be returning too! In my opinion weddings are one of the best places to show your style and formal wear, as they will be going ahead soon this is the most spoken about and purchased formal shoe of 2021 so far.

Black Scarosso Oxford

Oxford shoes are timeless, however the most popular brand when looking at formal footwear for men is Scarosso, they are definitely on higher end of the price range, with their Oxfords costing £215. However, they are made from leather and will be durable and long lasting. For a cheaper alternative, the 1461 Dr Martens are just as strong and durable, if you want to grab yourself a pair of these legendary shoes, again made from leather, they are priced at £119 from Schuh.

Dr Martens 1461

In just over three weeks the gyms will be reopening, not that I am counting down at all! I have definitely worn out my running shoes and need some new trainers and I am sure I am not alone in this feeling, so why not treat yourself to a new pair of workout shoes? I don’t know about anyone else but when I get new clothing or shoes for the gym, I feel so motivated and want to give them a good run!

Nike Super Rep Go

These Nike Super Rep Go trainers are becoming increasingly popular in the past couple of months, they can be used to active wear such as running, hiking or HIIT classes. The great thing about this style is the mesh, this is because the ventilation is increased and gets that airflow to keep you feeling cool during a hard session at the gym. These shoes are in the middle of the price range and cost £89.95 at Nike.com.

2021 will be the year that the men’s footwear game will be stepped UP!
