Why choose between comfort and style? Have it both ways with these winter wardrobe staples.

Let’s face it, no one wants to compromise comfort for fashion. Well, luckily those days will now be a thing of the past. With these 5 winter wardrobe hero’s, your outfits will still look the part, whilst providing ultimate comfort and convenience.

  • Paper bag jeans

One of the best fashion inventions, paper bag jeans will soon become your bestie. Made from a softer denim than your ordinary jean, these feel like joggers but at the same time, keep you looking trendy – every girl’s dream!

Paper bag jeans can also be dressed up or down, so even for those girls drinks out or date nights, comfort will follow you wherever you go. With a tie up front, you can really nip in your waist to reveal that figure but even better, you can loosen them for when the food baby hits (we’ve all been there!).

For a daytime look, you can pair the jeans with a t-shirt (tucked in), or a cute crop top and your favourite chunky trainers. Or for a dressier look, pair them with a chic bodysuit, boyfriend blazer and some heels.

  • Leather look leggings

I don’t know about you, but I would live in leggings all day every day if I could – they just scream comfort. But for those days when you want to look a bit more put together, leather look leggings are definitely the way forward.

They are so versatile and can be worn with pretty much everything. My favourite way to style them is with an oversized jumper or hoodie, a trench coat and some chunky combat boots providing warmth, style and comfort. What more could you want? They can even be paired with a patterned blouse and heels for a classier look.

  • Polo necks

Every girl needs a polo neck in their wardrobe, especially when you like to layer your outfits. They are such an adaptable yet nifty piece of clothing so if you don’t have one, (or ten in my case), go and get one!

For a more casual look, layer an oversized t shirt over a polo neck and pair with your favourite mom jeans, throw on some trainers, such as Converse, and you’re good to go. Polo necks also look great under dresses and are an easy way to add some colour to your outfit. It also means you can wear your favourite dresses all year round!

  • Chunky boots

An essential in every shoe collection is a classic chunky boot. Available in a variety of styles and colours, you’re guaranteed to find a pair that’s just right for you.

A popular choice for many years has been the classic Doc Martens. Established in 1960, they have been a fashion staple ever since. Although the come with a hefty price tag, they are worth every penny. Doc Martens offer a wide range of shoes all providing style, comfort and quality, you can’t go wrong.

  • Hair scarf/bag tie

Don’t dismiss accessories, they really can finalise and make all the difference to your outfit, not to mention that they help to disguise puffy eyes and messy hair. A growing trend is the styling of a hair scarf which can also double up as a bag tie.

We can’t deny that everyone is prone to a bad hair day once in a while, whether you wake up late or didn’t wash your hair the night before. The dreaded task of trying to mask the messy hair is undeniably a challenge no one wants to face. Well, don’t panic, a hair scarf will be your saviour on these days.

With multiple ways that a hair scarf can be worn, your hair will go from ‘meh’ to ‘hell yeah!’. Whether you decide to wrap the scarf around your ponytail or create a headband, you’ll definitely find yourself reaching for it more.
