With so many people nominated it’s hard to whittle it down to just five nominees, but Cosmopolitan have done it, and here’s your five best newcomers of 2020 still in the running to be this year’s winner.

Trans Life and Wife Charlie Allan and Lauren Faulkner

Charlie and Lauren are popular on Youtube with over 50,000 subscribers and say they are here to “Educate and inform whilst having a laugh at the same time”. 

Charlie was first seen on MTV’s True Love or True Lies and was said to be the first Scottish trans man to appear on television. Charlie and girlfriend Lauren now use their platform to educate people with videos like “The Mental Struggles of being Transgender” and Lauren documenting how OCD affects her life.

Demi Donnelly

Demi Donnelly is a large personality, known on Youtube for her content relating to fashion and lifestyle. While the idea of her content is comedic and light-hearted, she often does fashion hauls and reviews, keeping her connection with fans active and informed on the latest fashion trends and most popular brands.

Demi has gained popularity within the digital world as she engages in product reviews, fashion hauls and try-ons. 

She is a strong supporter of body positivity which strengthens her following.

Liv Humby

Olivia, who likes to be known as Liv, is a social media influencer from Norwich.

Liv runs a personal beauty and lifestyle blog. Written and edited by herself, a self taught Makeup Artist, beauty junkie, foodie, hair stylist, home interior addict, and avid fashion enthusiast.

Liv believes strongly in an honest relationship with her followers and will only review and/or feature products that she truly believes in.

Chloe Pavlou 

Chloe describes herself through instagram as “An average girl taking outfit pics in the mirror”. 

Chloe is currently studying towards a Fashion Marketing and Communications Degree at the FRA along side her blog which become popular with her countless hours of editing, shooting, replying to comments and DMs 24/7. She says her weekends are full of thinking of captions, planning upcoming features and deciding what outfits to post next.

Vee Kativhu

Oxford university student and well known vlogger Varaidzo Kativhu, mainly known as Miss Varz, has nearly 20,000 subscribers on Youtube. She uses her platform to address educational inequality and share advice with students, especially those hoping to get a place at Oxford.

Now 21, Vee is determined on working to increase the number of black and minority ethnic students at top universities.

She recently just secured herself a place at Harvard University.
