Alec Baldwin’s acting career is taking a turn after a fatal shooting upon cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, on set. Hutchins was flown out in a helicopter to the hospital after the incident but soon died from her injuries. Baldwin was handed the weapon by the film’s director who claims he was not aware that it was loaded. The supplier’s owner, Seth Kenny, has told investigators that the ammunition given was purely dummy rounds and blanks. Baldwin had stated that he was not the one to blame for the shooting and claimed he did not pull the trigger and it was someone else who had loaded the gun before he’d laid his hands on it. “Someone put a live bullet in the gun” he had said. In an interview with the ABC Baldwin had claimed that Hutchins was supervising his every move. He stated, “I’m holding the gun where she told me to hold it, which ended up being aimed right below her armpit”.This was the first time Baldwin had spoken about the accident since it happened except for a brief interview with TMZ. He claims that he did not pull the trigger, but instead was asked to cock the gun. After doing so, the gun went off. However, Baldwin has admitted he doesn’t feel guilty about the accident, but instead, he has been left emotionally scarred. He claims that the incident has left him having constant dreams about it, just about making it through his day whilst emotionally collapsing at the end. Although the guilt may not be hitting Baldwin in the way we would imagine, it is hitting him physically and he is now in a position of his career being in serious jeopardy.
