Although eating chocolate was once believed to cause spots, research shows that the dark variety is actually good for your skin. All you need to make the mask is 2 Tbsp of coconut oil, 2 Tbsp of coffee grounds, and 1 Tbsp of 70%+ cocoa powder. Mix it all together in a bowl until it becomes smooth and apply to a freshly cleansed face in an upwards motion. Try this mask and let lockdown be the time to nourish your precious skin.

Want to keep your hair moisturised in the cold, drying, winter months?

Hair masks are an easy way to deeply nourish your hair leaving you feeling amazing, so what better time is there to sit with a concoction you made from your kitchen cupboards other than the UK lockdown 2.0? For these 3 recipes all you need is 2 simple ingredients.

For dry hair, this mask made of 2 Tbsp of honey and 1 Tbsp of coconut oil is the perfect potion to give your hair the moisture it needs and lacks from the natural oils of your scalp. Honey also helps to retain moisture which will help you achieve a voluminous shiny look.

For an itchy; flaky scalp, 2 Tbsp of brown sugar and 1 Tbsp of olive oil will work together to exfoliate the dead skin cells whilst then nourishing the base of the hair shaft.

For greasy hair, use a lemon and 1/4 cup of apple vinegar. This well help to balance out the pH levels to stop overproduction of oil which leaves your hair with a grease free shine.

METHOD: For these masks above, simply mix all the ingredients well in a bowl. Wash your hair as normal however don’t use conditioner, instead apply the chosen mask to your roots and comb it down the lengths of your hair with your fingers. Cover with a towel or shower cap. Rinse out with warm water after 20 minutes.
