I always enjoy watching YouTube videos of people going through the products they were able to use up and what they thought about them because they will have a much better idea than if it was a first impression.
So I decided to keep all of my empty products from the month of November to see what I thought about them.
Firstly, I managed to finished the Boots Lavender Aromatic Bath Crystals. I love bath products so was excited to use this, however the lavender scent did not end up being that strong. There were also small bits of dried lavender mixed into the bottle which were a nightmare to clean out of the bath. This product appears to have been limited edition and is no longer available to buy.
Now for a product I loved: the Origins Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask. This is a clay-based mask for problem and acne-prone skin which includes calming Camphor and exfoliating Salicylic Acid to enhance the clay formulation. I loved this mask as my skin does tend to flare up, particularly after wearing a face mask for long periods of time. I found this mask to be soothing as well as having an immediate impact on the redness and irritation so I would definitely repurchase in the future.
I also used up the Batiste Dry Shampoo in the scent floral and flirty blush. I have used better dry shampoos in the past, but for the price, I can’t complain about this one. It is also my favourite scent and I often repurchase this one – I already have back-ups waiting to be used.
The Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm was another product that I was able to use up. This balm has a subtle, shimmery pink hue to it which looked lovely on the lips. I also found the shea butter in this formula to be very nourishing and hydrating, it has become one of my favourite lip balms and definitely one I will repurchase.
Finally, I used up The Inkey List Beta Hydroxy Acid. This acid is a gentle, exfoliating treatment that I found good as it kept my oil production under control which helped to reduce the amount of new blemishes that I saw while using. It is also super affordable so one that I am keen on getting again.
