It really isn’t that hard lads…
During these restrictive times, everyone is encouraged to check up on friends and family, but it is most important to focus on yourself and your hygiene. The stigma of Men and Beauty/Skincare products has evolved into a popular trend on Instagram.
Therefore, I have compiled a list of products for Dry/Sensitive, Acne/Blackhead Prone skin; tailored to suit frequent men’s skincare issues.
Step 1: Facial Wash
Clean and Clear Advantage Fast Action Daily Wash 150ml – £4.50 Amazon
Benefits: By removing dead skin cells, this product unclogs your pores (which everyone has), and should be used daily.
Step 2: Exfoliating Scrub
Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Facial Scrub 150ml – £3.49 Amazon
Benefits: Eliminates and Prevents Blackheads, it is recommended to use daily, however this may cause tiny tears in the skin, so I suggest using this product at least 4 times a week.
Step 3: Cleanser
Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Oil-Free Cleanser, 200ml – £3.00 Amazon
Benefits: Removes impurities from the skin; including dirt and oil. It is best to use this in the morning as your face collects dirt from your pillow.
Step 4: Vitamin C Serum
Vegan Bioniva Vitamin C Serum, 30ml – £13.49 Amazon
Benefits: Vitamin C encourages brightening effects for acne scarring and sun spots, whilst Hyaluronic Acid adds moisturition to the skin. Apply 1 – 3 times a week depending on how dry/acne prone your skin is.
REMEMBER: Vitamin C Serums are quite pricy, but I have been using this and it has helped my skin significantly.
Step 5: Spot Treatment
T-Zone Rapid Action Spot Zapping Gel, 8ml – £2.72 Amazon
Benefits: This product is great for gentle skin, targeting, preventing and reduces spots and blemishes. Naturally anti-bacterial Tea Tree and Witch Hazel with clearing Salicylic Acid to help reduce spots/acne with a cooling effect.
Step 6: Moisturiser
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturiser, 50ml – £6.00 Amazon
Benefits: A lightweight moisturiser that is infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid, found naturally in the skin, therefore retaining moisture for longer.
If you got this far, the total of this list is £33.20. You can tailor the products to your skin type. If you are more combination/oily, I recommend swapping out the Face Wash and Scrub for Neutrogena products as they are cheap and reliable.
