Always iced coffee season

Iced coffees have taken the world by storm since going viral on TikTok in lockdown 2020. Originating at Starbucks as the Frappuccino, coffee lovers were forced to diy their go-to Starbucks order in the hot summer lockdown. As a result of this, a whipped ice coffee was trending on TikTok, as was the stares queen Anna Sitar. Over a year later, iced coffee recipes are even more experimental, using plant-based milks for the lighter touch. Here are three iced coffee recipes our readers NEED to try.

1) Hazelnut dream

If you loved the infamous kinder bueno coffee drink, you will definitely love this one just as much.

Ingredients –

  • A shot of expresso (or double)
  • 2.5 pumps of hazelnut syrup
  • Almond milk
  • ice to fill the cup.

Tip: to mix the syrup well pour from one cup to another a few times after stirring.

2) Lotus biscoffee

Everyone loves lotus biscoff! Can we just take a moment to appreciate the products they have blessed us with? The spread and chocolate collection are to die for. Here is an iced coffee to add to that collection.

Ingredients –

  • Ice
  • 100ml milk alternative of your choice
  • 1tsp espresso-style instant coffee
  • 100ml boiling water
  • 1 heaped tbsp Biscoff spread
  • Biscoff biscuits for top
  • Squirty cream (or alternative)

Iced strawberry espresso

Everything we do and have has to be instagram ready these days. Aesthetic drinks are the future. Here is a homemade pink drink.

Ingredients –

  • Strawberry syrup
  • Milk syrup
  • Your favourite milk
  • Ice
  • Espresso

Where this one maybe an acquired taste, you can never diss it before you try it. Especially with the endless possibilities of instagram content.
