No one to go with?
Go Alone, do it alone.
If you’ve opened TikTok, YouTube or even Pinterest in the last few months, you have probably seen the new rave of solo girl traveling. What had once seemed as intimidating or risky is now a defining part of woman and girlhood. The reasons behind it are deeper than a cheaper holiday, for many young women, being brave enough to do it alone is about independence, identity, healing and confidence. Whether it’s a weekend in Paris, a month retreat in Austria or a year trip backpacking around in Asia, it all counts towards empowerment. Here’s why solo girl travel is becoming such a new crave.

Independence and escaping.
For some women it’s an escape from the world they currently live in, the gloomy small town, the post breakup or a recovery break from work or uni. Exploring a new city, living a new life with no responsibilities and history can feel so relieving. Aswell as wanting to live life to the fullest and exploring every culture and country, independence is another main reason for solo travelling. Realising you can do far more alone that you thought, the chance to take full control of your life with no background noise from others as you can be a million miles away. No stress with compromising activities and making others happy, it’s all down to you. Giving time to reconnect with yourself and to enjoy your own company. Although the independence may be scary and taunting, it’s about discovering who you are, a life changing moment that will stay with you throughout the rest of your life.
Social media.
