End of an era: Anna Wintour stepping down from the fashion throne.

After a tremendous 3 decades ruling as the crown jewel in the fashion industry, exceeding boundaries and cultivating vogue from what was already an empire before her arrival to a Dynasty to not be reckoned with. Our most esteemed, Dame Anna Wintour, has bid farewell to her role as Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue.
Anna wasn’t just someone who was committed and devoted to her life’s work in vogue. No, the perfected bob, idgaf sunglasses and the essence of power she would engulf just by her mere presence in a room. Anna Wintour is Vogue. She was the diamond centred on Vogue’s crown. So as old blood drains my dears, fresh is about to flood the throne of the most iconic Condé Nast Publications.
Before we depart from our beloved queen let’s debrief of her most iconic and revolutionary impacts on the publication.
From traditional strong headshot covers and spreads to refreshing, story-focused, photoshoots fusing an embrace of art and self-expression with fashion. Anna turned fashion into an art., with mildly provocative elements and blends to what fashion is she brought emotions up to the surface. giving a purpose for images for something that isn’t only a pretty picture.
Ever realised that spring/summer issues were actually once the pinnacle of fashion’s uprise instead of September? Well thanks to Wintour she pushed for the autumn/winter issue to be the peak of fashion throughout the year, elevating it to be the most imperative and influential time of year for fashion cult followers. She is the very reason we anticipate the September event so eagerly worldwide.

from a classical fashion house to infusing the entire brand to become a pop culture phenomenon not only drawing in celebrities as a core focus to the covers but now Ater 30 years, to be on the cover of vogue is nothing but a dream come true and an honour to celebrities who have the chance to show face on the publications.
Anna Wintour weaved the connection between the Met Gala and Vogue so immensely that the line between vogue and the met gala is a blind sighted blur to the public, almost commended together as one united front, the goal that none of than the Anna Wintour was able to amend.
And finally, one of our biggest and most important of Annas achievements is her forceful push to make the publication a beautifully diverse book of all bodies, shames, race, colours, sexualities. Something that was transformative, of Vogue current pages that we cannot thanks anna Wintour enough for.
Now with Anna stepping down, everybody is trembling in anticipation to know what holds next for the future of vogue. will classism fall back into its original place? or will we be ruptured with a storm of radical movement? well that depends on who will fill the Prada-heeled void anna has left so neatly behind. Something challenging, perhaps more digitally in-tuned. Well, it’s safe to say a new generation of editors keeping tight grips of their Champaigne glasses in suspense of who will be crowned the new monarch of vogues legacy.
