Getting festive on a budget

When the festive season comes around for some it can be a stressful time. From picking the right outfits for the chilly weather to getting down and dirty with the gingerbread and mince pies, we’ve got your back. We all know Christmas can be an expensive time of year and some may have to budget wisely but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it just as festive! If you’re looking to spice up your wardrobe for the holiday season, charity shops are a great place to start. Around this time of year places like ‘Cancer Research’ and ‘The British Heart Foundation’ are selling everything from coats to decorations. Not only will it be affordable, you’ll also be supporting different charities and potentially helping another family in need. You can also have a browse through the Christmas markets around this time of year to get into the festive spirit and support your local community. You don’t always need to go out and spend money, even something as simple as going to see some christmas lights can get you feeling more joyous. If you’re a student who still wants to get in the Christmas spirit why not go with some friends for a walk through your local town, where something festive will usually be occurring, there are events for free all around that you and a few friends can go to just to get yourself feeling more christmasy. Remember that spending money isn’t what brings joy at this time of year, just focus on getting in the Christmas spirit and surrounding yourself with happiness.
