Prep Meets Pop
Tommy Hilfiger launched A Hilfiger Holiday starring BLACKPINK icon, Jisoo. A Hilfiger Holiday combines preppy layered pieces coloured in red, white, blue and plum that exude senses of quiet confidence and winter campus chic. Photographed by Yoon Ji Yong and styled by Choi Ja Young, Jisoo appeared in timeless bomber jackets over an Oxford shirt paired with a wool miniskirt and loafer shoes. “Holidays in the Hilfiger household were filled with the bustling excitement of nine kids, lots of guests and endless games” says Tommy Hilfiger. This is communicated through A Hilfiger Holiday which speaks joyful family festivities with a modern and stylish take.
Hilfiger had made connections with Jisoo when she appeared as a guest at New York Fashion Week. Jisoo first became popular in 2016 through her involvement in BLACKPINK and her solo career as a South Korean Singer Songwriter and Actress. She has amassed over 80.2 million followers on Instagram and it’s undoubtable that she is a global KPop phenomenon. After all, Kpop has been gradually increasing in popularity since its expansion into Western markets after the virality of PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’. Initially a niche genre to one of the biggest music genres, KPop is taking off and BLACKPINK are leading the surge. Jisoo was even credited in BLACKPINK by the former South Korean President, Moon Jae In who recognized the group for spreading Korean culture worldwide.
From then on, Jisoo has appeared at other Hilfiger campaigns such as their Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 (The Hilfiger Racing Club). They had even designed some memorable looks for their BLACKPINK Deadline tour. Styled in an argyle two piece set and a silk shirt dress, Hilfiger said ‘Jisoo is one of the biggest stars of our time, and it is incredible to have her bring a global perspective to the brand’s classic American prep. It is clear to see that this connection will continue to flourish and Jisoo is adored by the Hilfiger family.
