5 brands making a difference with sustainable material

Patagonia

As Patagonia being a pioneer in sustainable fashion it’s no shock that it has made it on to the list. Utilising reclaimed feathers, recycled polyester and nylon in a number of its products. Additionally, the brand’s “Worn Wear” initiative encourages Patagonia products to be repaired, reused, and recycled.

Everlane

The brand Everlane “ReNew” collection focuses on bags, fleece, and outerwear out of recycled plastic bottles. Everlane has a strong emphasis on ethical production and is fully open about their supply chain.

Stella McCartney

Using organic cotton, recycled polyester, and other environmentally friendly materials, Stella McCartney has been an innovator in sustainable luxury. The brand steers clear of PVC, leather, and fur in favour of high fashion that is innovative and sustainable.

Girlfriend collective

The brand Girlfriend Collective has been well-known for their recycled water bottle leggings, and their compression fabrics are manufactured from recycled fishing nets. The brand has been dedicated to moral and ethical labour methods since the start.

Adidas

Adidas and Parley for the Oceans have teamed up to make apparel and shoes out of recycled ocean trash. By 2024, they plan to employ exclusively recycled polyester in its Futurecraft Loop trainers, which are made to be completely recyclable.
